This weekend was productive. Today I painted an accent wall in the living room. I have to see it in the daylight, but as of right now I really love the color. It is still an earth tone, but not the normal set of warm browns and orange tones that Peter and I have normally been drawn to. It is a great warm green color that looks like it will go well with our brown furniture and accessories. I can't wait to get the rest of our things from Chicago. Also, I'm now able to see our fireplace in my mind. I can see the tile that we are going to use for the surround, and the glow of the light of the walls. Sometimes when I look at the now blank walls, I can almost feel the heat coming from the flames. It makes me so happy. All I have to do is look around me to realize how blessed Peter and I are.
On that note, Peter started to prep some of the food for Thanksgiving. I'm so looking forward to having my family with us next week. It means so very much to me that we can host them for a wonderful meal. For years we weren't able to one reason or another, so the fact that we are able to this year is really great. My hope is this will be the start to a truly wonderful holiday season. Happy Holidays to anyone who reads this. May you be able to spend it with your family as well. With that I will say good night.
