Our new home

Hello everyone. I know it has been a while since I have written in my blog, but it has been a little crazy moving into our new home. Being a short sale, it was a much more complicated process getting in. We put in our initial offer in December of last year, and we have only been in for about a month now. It was worth the wait though, and we are feeling right at home. We have painted the whole inside of our house, and I have planted a garden that is going like gangbusters. I just love it! My sister gave us some tomato plants, some mint, and some time.  We have expanded our garden with pumpkins, cucumber, and a couple rows of corn. We  started composting for the best soil and I'm already excited with the results. Also, we have removed a wood stove from the living room to make room for a gas fireplace, and to meet the requirements of the EPA. So far, this is the best house we have had the privilege to live in.

As many of you know, we have lived in four different places over the years, from here to Chicago and back again. We have been blessed in experiences in our lives in many ways. With that being said, I'm so glad to be back home with our friends and family. We have been able to simplify our life, and that has allowed us to reconnect with people that we have been away from for a long time. I can't wait to reconnect with the rest of you soon. We are hoping to have an open house in August or September. I will get more information out soon.

I'm going to talk a little bit more about the simplification of our life, and how it has effected us for the better in one of my next posts. It is a part of my new life that is very important to me.
